The alpaca and wool are washed and combed, and then sent to a rural dye house, where it is spun into thick, loosely twisted, high-gauge yarns. Under the direction of old weavers following their skill for generations, these yarns are loomed into an heirloom-quality blanket with a tight weave, for warmth and amazing drape.
